Registering for this feature will allow you to tie various recovery methods such as your cell phone or personal email to your Felician account. If you are ever locked out or forget your password, these will be used as the alternate contact and verification methods to help you regain access to your account.

This information is not set on your account until you add it, so trying to reset your password prior to adding it will result in an error as there’s nothing on file to use as verification.
