Setting up E2Campus ( Omnilert )

Omnilert is a universal notification system that allows designated administrators to send time-sensitive messages to the mobile phones and email addresses of their subscribers (e.g., students, faculty, staff). In the event of an emergency, subscribers will get notified immediately of the situation, wherever they are geographically. You may access Omnilert in one of two ways. You may sign up for the service by navigating to the My Felician page on the University’s website and clicking on the E2Campus link on the rightmost side of the page. You may also log into Omnilert using your Felician email credentials. Both methods are depicted in the steps below.

 Signing up for Omnilert from “MyFelician”

 

  1. Navigate to http://www.felician.edu on any web browser and click on My Felician on the top right corner. Scroll down to Special Tools and click on e2Campus. Click on e2Campus

2. Click on Sign Up on the top right corner.

3. Create a username and enter your first and last name. Create a password that complies with the requirements listed under the password policy.

Select your group depending on your role within the University. Agree to the Terms of Use and click on the Create account once you have confirmed that your information is correct.

5. Enter your cell phone number and select your carrier from the dropdown list. Click on Add New.

6. A verification code will be sent to you via SMS. Enter this code in the textbox provided and click on Validate. If you have not received a code, you may resend it to your phone by clicking on Resend.

7. Scroll down to the Email Addresses section to add in your personal email address in the same manner.

8. A verification email will be sent to the address you entered. If you have not received a verification email, you may resend it by clicking on Resend.

Note that you may enter additional phone numbers and/or email addresses as you see fit.


Installing the Omnilert App on Your Phone

You may receive alerts on your phone through the Omnilert application. Navigate to the Play Store or App Store, depending on your mobile device, and search for Omnilert.

Open the app on your phone and enter the Personal Access Code that is displayed beneath your email address list on your Omnilert account. Kindly note that you will need to have both the Omnilert app open on your phone as well as on a computer.

 

Tap on Continue to log into the app and view the University’s current alerts. This is the default screen that you will see upon opening the app.

 

Tap on Tips to submit an anonymous tip to Felician Security regarding any emergency assistance you may need or a suspicious activity you have witnessed. Tap on the slider next to Send current location to record your location on the tip. Enter your tip in the textbox and tap on the airplane icon to send your tip.

 

 

 

Tap on Resources to view a list of hotlines that you may dial at any time. Tap on the 24/7 Emergency Resources option to view a detailed listing of all emergency resources on the University’s website.

Tap on Settings to change your app theme to light mode or dark mode or sign out of your Omnilert account.

Note that you may dial Felician Security at any screen within the app by pressing and holding the call icon on the top left corner.
